The Celtics aren't pushing the panic button after encountering their first rough patch of the season.

"We don't do anything," said coach Doc Rivers before dismantling Sacramento Sunday. "We just approach it like we've approached all our wins. You know, we keep talking about getting better as a basketball team. That's about it.

"We weren't worried when we were winning 19 in a row, and we don't worry when we lose two in a row. Our (goal) is, by (the) playoffs, to be the best team we can possibly be. That's what we think about every day."

The Celtics now get to think about closing their West Coast trip on a positive note Tuesday in Portland. And they won't be taking any bad memories into that one.

"We just don't get down," said Paul Pierce. "We're a veteran team. We stay together. We had that losing streak of three games last year. We've just got to gather ourselves and understand what we do when we win and what we do when we lose.

"We're a defensive team first and we have to get back to that. We have to get our stuff together right now."

CELTICS 108, KINGS 63: Kevin Garnett (10 for 11) and Ray Allen combined to make 17 of 19 shots as the Celtics blew away host Sacramento Sunday night.

The Celtics led by as many as 48 and the 45-point final margin was tied for the sixth-highest in franchise history.

The Kings were held to an NBA season-low 27.9 percent from the floor and their 19 field goals were the second-low allowed by the Celtics in their history (Miami made just 17 against them in a game last season).

The Celtics led by six after one quarter and opened it up to lead by 25 at the half.

"Especially after losing two in a row, it was nice to get back on the right track," said Paul Pierce.
